At Allure, we get inundated with the latest and greatest beauty offerings every day. Most of it is exciting, some of it confusing, and sometimes it gets overwhelming, especially now that our homes have become our offices. Alas, that is the beauty editor's burden to bear.
When we really like something, you can trust that our opinion has come from vetting it against everything we've seen before, including our longtime favorites. (We've even written love letters to some of the products we hold most dear.) But we're always open to finding — and sharing — new favorites. It's a big beauty playground out there, so we'll gladly do the dirty work to test everything under the sun. And the crème de la crème often graduate to our Best of Beauty trials.
But let's stick to the present for now. Each week, Allure editors select the new hair, makeup, and skin-care products we're currently obsessing over. Trying to narrow down our favorites to just one or two products can be hard, but we manage. Check out what our editors can't get enough of right now.
All products featured on Allure are independently selected by our editors. However, when you buy something through our retail links, we may earn an affiliate commission.

Leatherology XL Train Case
"My version of 'traveling lightly' means packing three sunscreens, not five. So when I say Leatherology XL Train Case — which is tall enough that most full-size products can stand upright inside — fits all my travel essentials, I'm saying it's remarkably, gloriously spacious. And the water-resistant interior is super easy to wipe clean. I'm partial to the vibrant Scarlet (shown above) shade but the organizers are available in seven other shades." — Dianna Mazzone, senior beauty editor

Curldaze Silky Hydration Cream Shampoo
"My hair felt suspiciously soft after using this Silky Hydration Cream Shampoo from Curldaze, so I headed straight to the ingredient list. To my surprise, the formula is free from sulfates and silicones (which often act like a silky cover instead of penetrating your hair shaft). While the scent for both the shampoo and conditioner is fruity and sweet, the shampoo specifically stood out. As I washed my scalp, the product cleared build-up after just one wash without drying out my curls as the product worked in its hydrating ingredients. It's safe to say this will become a regular in my routine." — Talia Gutierrez, beauty assistant

Surratt Artistique Liquid Blush
"There's just something so cute about the round sponge tip applicator — you twist the base to dispense product — on the Surratt Artistique Liquid Blush, and it's so easy and satisfying to dot onto my cheekbones and nose bridge. While you can use the sponge itself to blend in the pigment, I prefer diffusing the product with my fingers — especially because it's so pigmented upon first swipe. I've only tried Classique (a warm magenta), which is shown above, so it's automatically my favorite shade — but I can't wait to try the others. It also has a lovely, subtle amount of shimmer to add a bit of dimension. chef's kiss" — Sarah Han, senior commerce writer

Lancôme Idôle Eau De Parfum Spray
"I was first intrigued by Lancôme's Idôle Eau De Parfum Spray because of the gorgeous thin, rectangular bottle, which is about the thickness of an iPhone. But the moment I took a whiff of its floral scent, I was won over. It has a mix of sweet, floral, and fresh notes with citrus, rose, jasmine, warm musk, and vanilla that combine to create a fragrance that makes me feel and smell luxurious whenever I spritz. I've been trying to develop my fragrance profile, and this may just become one of my signature scents." — Gabi Thorne, associate news editor

Holifrog Sunnyside C Glow Serum
"The only ingredient my acne-prone skin loves more than vitamin C is tranexamic acid. The brighteners finally come together with the Holifrog Sunnyside C Glow Serum. Unlike most vitamin C serums that feel like slathering your face with acidic ham water, this one is like a dreamy, silky lotion. If my skin isn't feeling too dry, I skip moisturizer and go straight to SPF because the serum has such a nourishing finish, courtesy of aloe juice and jojoba oil. My skin has never looked brighter, healthier, or happier." — Devon Abelman, contributing editor

Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Chroma Stix
"Now that IRL hangouts are happening again, I'm reintroducing myself to vibrant cosmetics after two years of a bare face. So far, one of my biggest saving graces in my quest for cosmic colors is Anastasia Beverly Hills' Norvina Chroma Stix Makeup Pencils, which come in 16 shades to mix and match. These slim-tipped pencils glide onto skin like a dream (no pulling or tugging!), and their bold pigments won't smudge or sweat off during the day. I'm loving the Yellow shade (shown above) for how bright and opaque it is, unlike other yellow pigments I've used before." — Jennifer Hussein, commerce writer

Eva NYC Magic Mane Hair Fragrance
"I won't leave my apartment before spraying a few generous pumps of Eva NYC Magic Mane Hair Fragrance. The pink glass bottle carries the brand's signature floral scent with notes of white flowers like jasmine and fruity plum. Whether it be a day full or errands of a night out, I can't resist at least one light mist of magic." — Talia Gutierrez, beauty assistant

Whamisa Toner Deep Rich
"Hydration is the focus of my skin-care routine for the moment, so I've made sure to invest in moisturizing toners, which is why I've been loving Whamisa's Toner Deep Rich on my skin. Its silky formula leaves a light film of hydration that helps prep my skin for the serums, moisturizers, and sunscreen to come. The toner is infused with some amazing skin-care ingredients like hydrating aloe vera, reparative oat kernel extract, and humectant glycerin." — Gabi Thorne, editorial assistant
You'll find Whamisa Organic Flowers Toner Deep Rich in the November 2021 Allure Beauty Box.

Facile Press-On Nails
"When I first tried Facile's Press-On Nails, I thought the fact that they're lighter weight than others I've tried would be a negative. Not so! Contrary to my assumptions, the thinner nails actually looked more natural (people who complimented them were shocked when I said they weren't my real nails) and, I think, are at least part of the reason they lasted a full two weeks before any started to pop off." — Kara McGrath, deputy editor

Simihaze Beauty Velvet Blur Matte Lip Balm in Mist
"Since adopting my dog Scorpion earlier this year, I've become more of a morning person and less of a full-face-of-makeup person. The time I used to spend painting my lids with neon liners and gluing rhinestones onto my cheeks has been replaced with visits to the dog park. I still love a wash of color on my lips and cheeks, though, so I handle both with one product: the Simihaze Beauty Velvet Blur Matte Lip Balm in Mist. The creamy formula melts into lips like a hydrating stain after I swipe it on and blend it out with my fingertip. Whatever is left on it gets dabbed onto the high points of my cheekbones for a natural-looking flush. Then, I coat my lashes with mascara, and Scorpion and I are good to go." — Devon Abelman, beauty editor
